Metro Banjo Clinic - Westchester NY

Event Description :
This July 30 - August 1, 2010, "Metro Banjo," a 3-day banjo clinic, will happen just outside of New York City in Westchester County at Concordia College - a 23 minute train ride north of Grand Central Station on the Metro North Harlem Branch. The bluegrass and old time/ clawhammer banjo instructors will include Tony Trischka, Eric Weissberg, Bill Keith, Marc Horowitz, Ben Freed, and Julie Elkins. Bill Keith's band will be performing Saturday night with a few surprise banjo players. For those arriving by train, we will provide free transportation to and from the Bronxville train station to the college (a 5 minute drive). Students will be able to stay and eat at the college at reasonable rates. If you've been looking for a retreat - close by - to immerse yourself in to meet and play with other banjoists while taking world-class banjo instruction, this is your opportunity.
